Munster v Connacht - Charity Match St. Stephen's Day

Munster Rugby have nominated the Munster v Connacht game in Thomond Park Stadium on St Stephens Day as a “Charity match” with the objective of raising as much funds as possible for their three nominated charities.

Munster Rugby will donate a fixed amount and an additional €1 from every programme sold on the day. As an incentive to purchase the €5 programme our sponsors have donated some amazing prizes that will be won on the night. Fifteen programmes will feature a winning ticket and a number of the prizes will be raffled in the Thomond Suite. All raising additional funds for charity.

All money raised will be split equally between Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, Motor Neurone Disease, and CROSS.

Run-a-Muck Challenge - THANKS TO ALL THE RUN-A-MUCKERS

This October's Run A Muck Challenge certainly lived up to its name for the staff and volunteers nationwide who braved the cold for ABI Ireland. The challenge was a 5k (10k for the brave Mucky Dolls!) obstacle course through ditches, Tarzan swings, net scrambles and hay hurdles, all covered in a substantial amount of muck!

Several ABI Ireland staff teams took part in the hilarious event, with the Mobhi Road team taking home the first E/NE perpetual Trophy. Our own Sean Ryan did the organisation proud by finishing 12th out of the 1,500 participants!

ABI Ireland’s success continued with our Mayo students taking home the prize as most entertaining team with their mud wrestling displays! Our good luck was surely down to inspirational words from Father D. Buxonat?!

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland was extremely privileged to be chosen as a nominated charity for this year’s challenge, with proceeds from registration fee’s being donated to our services. We are extremely grateful to Paul Mahon and his crew for this contribution and for the fantastic day out they provided.

Don’t forget the E/NE trophy will be up for grabs again in March when the next challenge will be held. Can Mobhi Road do it again?!

Dublin Half-Marathon 17th September 2011

'Acquired Brain Injury Ireland are delighted to have been chosen as the charity of choice for this year's Dublin Half Marathon.

The race was a huge success and we were overwhelmed with the generous donation from Race directors. A Big Thank You to the staff and clients who volunteered on the day to help the race go smoothly and of course to our runners who took part in the 13 mile race.'
