Acquired Brain Injury Ireland has a strong board which provides support and direction to the management team. The Board includes experienced healthcare professionals and business people and many of the Board have personal experience of ABI.

Chief Executive Officer and Secretary of the Board, she is an Occupational Therapist by profession with an MBA in health services management UCD / RCSI. She is the co-founder of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (formerly The Peter Bradley Foundation). |
| Diarmaid Ó Corrbuí |
Chairman of the Board. Diarmaid is the Chief Executive of the Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups and he has over 25 years experience as a management consultant with strong skills and experience in corporate governance, strategy development and implementation. He has previously worked for Prospectus Strategy Consultants and Andersen Consulting. He is also a Board Director of Ruhama, a not for profit organisation that works with women affected by prostitution.”

| Maurice O’Connell |
Maurice is co-founder of ABI Ireland and was Chairman of the Board for 10 years. He is CEO of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Maurice retired as Chairman of Alzheimer Europe in 2010 following a six year term. He is Vice Chair of DFI and a board member of NAI. Maurice has a Masters in Psychology and has extensive experience in the voluntary and community sector and third level education.

| Paula Bradley |
Consultant Speech & Language Therapist with over 28 years experience in acquired brain injury. She served as Speech & Language Therapist manager at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) and as Board member at NRH. Paula is subject matter expert for SLT SKILL modules and lecturer & trainer in ABI – undergraduate, post graduate, family & carer training. She is also one of the founding members of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (formerly the Peter Bradley Foundation) and a sister of Peter Bradley. |
| Dan Flynn |
Dan has broad management experience in a number of sectors specifically in the area of property and estates management of significant portfolios. This includes 20 years experience in the healthcare sector managing a range of office, training, care and residential facilities as well as the project management of a diverse programme of capital investments in Ireland and the UK. Since 2006 Dan has worked in property management within the financial services sector. |
| Gerard Daly |
Gerard Daly worked with the Civil Service (Department of Social Protection) for over 36 years, in a variety of management positions. He has extensive senior management experience encompassing general/operational management, project management, and programme management. Holder of a professional accountancy qualification, Gerard is currently contracted to the Mental Health Commission as part of the Mental Health Tribunal service. |
| Miriam Johnston | Miriam is a solicitor by profession. She has worked for 25 years with IDA Ireland, initially in the Legal Department and eventually managing it and the Secretariat and Government Liaison Departments. Miriam is married with two sons and lives in County Wicklow. |
